Nachdem ich etwas hinten dran bin, kann ich nun aber endlich den dritten Teil vom See the Star zeigen. Das Design von Monika Buro wird in der Yahoo-Group Marquoir gemeinsam gestickt.

While I was behind I'm finally able to show you the third part of my See the Star. The design from Monika Buro is being stitched in the yahoo-group Marquoir.

Golden Gate

Mein Mann hat zum Geburtstag eine neue Kamera geschenkt bekommen. Eine Sony Alpha 200. Diese hat er nun natürlich ausgiebig getestet und mir schon die ersten Bilder von der Golden Gate Bridge zugeschickt. Ich finde, die sind super geworden.

My husband got for a birthday presse a new foto-camery. It's a Sony Alpha 200 which of course he immediately tested. And he sent me these pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. I think they are great.

Frühlings-Mystery und See the Star

Ich habe meine neuesten Teile noch gar nicht gezeigt. Sowohl beim Frühlings-Mystery als auch beim See the Star habe ich inzwischen die zweiten Teile fertig gestellt. Aber hier sind sie nun.

Bargello Seasons

An der Quilt University nehme ich gerade an einem Kurs teil, der Bargello Seasons heißt. Wie der Name schon sagt, geht es um Bargellos.
Ich hätte zwar das auch nach einem Buch machen können, aber ich finde so macht es wesentlich mehr Spaß.

I'm participating on a course at the Quilt University which is called Bargello Seasons. Obviously it's about Bargellos, LOL. I could have done it alone with a book but I think it's much more fun this way.



Dies ist also das Top von der ersten Kursstunde. Ich denke, das ist mir ganz gut gelungen, es gefällt mir sehr gut.

Mein WKR - fertig gestickt

Seit einiger Zeit schon hab ich das WKR bereits fertig gestickt. Geknippst hatte ich es auch schon vor einer Weile. Nur mit dem Laden auf den Laptop hat's etwas gehapert. Ich hab das einfach nicht fertig gebracht.
Was ich daraus mache weiß ich noch nicht. Ich denke entweder an ein Kissen oder einen Wandbehang. Aber da muss ich dann noch etwas darüber grübeln. Play Emoticon



It's been a while now that I finished stitching my WKR. Also I took a picture quite a time ago. But still I just didn't manage to load it on my laptop.
What I will be doing with it - I don't know yet. I think it's gonna be either a pillow or a wallhanging. But I'm still pondering. Play Emoticon

Frühlingsmystery

Und noch ein neues Projekt. Dieses hat wieder 9 Teile, ist ein Mystery und von Tams Creations. Tam hat das Mystery extra für die Gruppe Marquoir designt. Und ich muss sagen, was ich bis jetzt gesehen habe, wird das wunderschön.

And another new project that I started. This one is divided into 9 parts and it's a mystery. Tam designed it exclusively for Marquoir. And I have to say, what I've seen so far, it will be beautiful.

Ich habe das erste Teil schon seit ein paar Tagen gestickt. Letzte Nacht kam dann auch schon der zweite Teil.

I stitched the first part a few days ago. Last night the second one came into my mailbox already.


Der Stoff ist eigentlich lindgrün. Man kann das leider auf dem Foto nicht erkennen. Mit dem nächsten Teil werde ich mal versuchen bei Tageslicht zu fotografieren.

The fabric is a light green. It does not look like that on the foto. Maybe with the next part. I'll try to take the picture during daylight.

Blümchen-Kuh

Und schon wieder habe ich eine neue Kuh fertig. Ich hoffe, dass ich dann auch irgendwann mal wieder soweit aufhole, dass ich uptodate bin. ;)

Again I was able to finish a cow. I hope I will be able to catch up that far that I'll be up-to-date someday. ;)

Quiltfriends-Siggyswap

Bei den Quiltfriends haben wir einen Siggy-Swap gemacht. Ich habe 35 tolle Siggies erhalten. Aus Datenschutzgründen habe ich auf den Wunsch einiger dieser Quilterinnen hin alle Nachnamen entfernt. Ich hoffe, das ist so in Ordnung. Aber man kann die Schrift bei den meisten ohnehin nicht genau erkennen.

At the Quiltfriends-site we had a Siggy-swap. I received these 35 great siggies. Because some of the quilters didn't want their names shown on the internet I did erase all the surnames.

Secret Sister Swap 2008

Auch dieses Jahr habe ich wieder am Secret Sister Swap zu Weihnachten teilgenommen.

This year I also participated at the Secret Sister Swap for Christmas.

Und am 25.12. durfte ich endlich mein Paket aufmachen. Wir haben nämlich amerikanisch gefeiert und da konnte ich natürlich nicht aus der Reihe tanzen und schon früher auspacken als die Kinder. ;)
Ich habe mich riesig über das Paket von Gabriele gefreut. Schaut mal, was ich alles bekommen habe, vor allem die Farben sind ganz genau mein Geschmack:

Finally on December, 25th I could unwrap my gift. We celebrated american Christmas and thus I couldn't do that earlier than the kids. I also had to be patient. ;)
I really enjoyed all the things from Gabriele. Look what I got, I especially like the colors ver much:

Ein neues Projekt....

Ich habe mal wieder ein neues Projekt angefangen. Auch wieder bei Marquoir. Es heißt See the Star und ist ein etwas größeres Teil. Allerdings werden wir wieder nur jeweil ein kleineres Quadrat jeden Monat sticken und so wird es langsam aber sicher wachsen.

Again I started a new project. With the yahoo-group Marquoir. It is called "See the Star" and it is a larger piece. But we will be stitching a little part of it every month so you will be able to watch it grow.

Hier ist mein erster Teil. Ich sticke zum allerersten Mal auf schwarzem Stoff. Es ist nicht ganz einfach, aber ich komme ganz gut zurecht:

Was ich geschafft habe....

Ich habe ja schon lange nichts mehr gepostet. Vor Weihnachten war ich etwas im Stress und dann war ich in den USA. Genauer gesagt, in Newark das etwas südlich von San Francisco liegt. Dort waren wir gut zwei Wochen und haben schöne Tage bei meinem Mann verbracht. Mehr kommt später.

It's been quite a time, that I've postet. Before Christmas I've been very busy and then I was visiting hubby in the US. Exactly spoken, I've been in Newark which is about an hour south of San Francisco. We've been there for a little over a fortnight and had some nice days. But I'll tell more about that later.

Ich habe in der Zwischenzeit wieder etwas weiter gestickt. Diese Kuch ist endlich fertig geworden:

In the meantime I was able to stitch a little. I finally finished this cow:

Und am WKR habe ich auch endlich weiter machen können. Jetzt fehlt nur noch ein Teil, bis es fertig ist.

And I was able to stitch at the WKR again. Now it's only one part left until it will be finished.

Neue Tasche

Endlich habe ich mir heute diese Tasche vorgenommen, für die ich bereits im August Anleitung und Stoffe gekauft hatte. Die ganze Zeit, habe ich die Stoffe nur sehnsüchtig angesehen, aber irgendwie, hat es nie gepasst. Jetzt hab ich mir einfach mal die Zeit genommen, die ich eigentlich gar nicht habe. ;) Das Design ist von Heike Jesse und als Materialpackung bei Helen erhältlich.


Finally I've sewn this bag for which I've had the instructions and fabrics since August. All the time I saw them lying there and wanted to do it but it just didn't fit. Now I've finally taken the time to sew the bag - even though I'm still on a tough schedule these days. ;) The design is made by Heike Jesse and can be purchased as a kit at Helen's Quiltstubb.

Meine allerliebste Post

Schon vor längerem habe ich von einer lieben Quiltfriend ein tolles Geschenk bekommen. Das war teil des Pay-it-forward - Projektes. Ania hat diese ganz ganz tollen Blumen auf diesem Buchcover appliziert und gestickt. Es gefällt mir wirklich sehr sehr gut und ein Notizbuch kann ich auch immer brauchen. Vielen Dank, Ania.

Some time ago I received a great gift. It was part of the Pay-it-forward - project. Ania appliqueed and stitched this gorgeous flowes on this bookcover. I like it really very much and a notebook always comes in handy for me. Thank you very much, Ania.


Außerdem habe ich in den letzten Tagen wieder einige Siggies erhalten. Zwei bin ich noch schuldig. Leider staut sich bei mir gerade alles ein bisschen. Aber ich hoffe, dass es bald wieder besser wird. Vielen Dank für diese schönen Siggies.

Also I received some siggies within the last days. I'm still owing my siggies for two of them. Unfortunately everything is accumulating a bit here. But I'm hoping that it will soon get better again. Thank you very much for these nice siggies.

Kissenbezug

Heute habe ich diesen Kissenbezug genäht. Er ist für eine Erzieherin in der KiTa meiner Tochter. Sie war so begeistert über einen Quilt, den ich genäht hatte und hatte sich außerdem ein kleines "Dankeschön" verdient. :) (Ich muss dazu sagen, dass das Foto etwas blass ist. Naja, Handykamera halt. ;) )



Today I sewed this pillow cover. It was made for a educator at the day-care center where my daughter goes to. She had been really thrilled about a quilt I had sewn and also she has earned herself a little "Thankyou". :) (Have to admit that the picture is a little pale. Well, it's been shot with my mobile phone cam. ;) )

Siggies again ...

Diese Woche habe ich eine ganze Reihe Siggies erhalten. Irgendwie haben sich einige Damen aus Annelies' Siggie-Liste scheinbar miteinander abgesprochen. LOL
Sie gefallen mir so gut.

This week I received a lot of siggies. Somehow it seems that some ladies from Annelies' siggie-swap have arranged with each other. LOL
They are so cute.
